Do You Believe in Miracles?!?!?!
Our Fall 2025 Season started with a bang. A record number of players (87) came out, dished out $65 of their hard earned money, and took a shot at taking down a 607poker.com league tournament. 28 of those players got off to a rough start, having to rebuy and leaving us with 115 buy-ins. 11 tables. 87 players. Anything could happen.
Chips were moving quickly and we got down to our final two tables. 607poker regular Rob Rick. (Afton, NY) was our bubble boy, being eliminated in 16th place and leaving with nothing but fond memories of a fun night at the shop. Christian Pena. (Binghamton, NY) was our first finisher in the money, taking home $115. This was Christian’s second consecutive event that he cashed in, bringing his career at 607poker to 5 events played and 5 events cashed in. After a prolonged absence from the shop, Rob Cac. (Endwell, NY) posted a 14th place finish to picking up $115. Newcomer Arthur Chr. (Scranton, PA) made the drive in worthwhile with a 13th place finish for $115.
Chris Hor. (Albany, NY) had an impressive debut performance at 607poker, finishing in 12th place for $145. John Fres. (Utica, NY) was our next casualty. In only his second event at 607poker, John finished in 11th place, picking up $145. Newcomer Carrie Hea. (Jessup, PA) just missed out on a final table appearance in her first tournament with us, getting knocked out in 10th place and taking home $145.
The players drew new seats and settled into the final table. Not afraid to mix it up, 607poker regular Jalen Ills. (Binghamton, NY) was the first player to bow out, finishing in 9th place for $175. First timer Matt Arms. (Binghamton, NY) put in an impressive debut performance, taking 8th place and $205. Dennis Day (Albany, NY) posted his second cash in his second appearance at the shop, being eliminated in 7th place for $235.
Dan Kane (Hillcrest, NY) continued an impressive run in 2025, posting his fourth cash in only seven events. A 6th place finish earned him $290. First time player Mike Kr. Jr. (Binghamton, NY) built a big stack early and coasted to a 5th place finish for $375. League regular Rooster D. (Windsor, NY) built an even bigger stack early and cruised to a 4th place finish for $520.
Our final three pitted two first time players, father/son duo Nathan Rog. (Binghamton, NY) and Ethan Rog. (Binghamton, NY) against chip leader Jonny Mar. (Binghamton, NY). Ethan was the first casualty, being eliminated in 3rd place and picking up $690 in an impressive debut performance. His father Nathan took 2nd place and $1110 leaving one man standing. To the disbelief of the rowdy rail (me) Jonny held on for his first outright victory at 607poker.com after a string of final table cashes. He took home $1370 and a 607poker.com t-shirt for his impressive final table performance and established himself as the man to beat early in the Fall 2025 Season.
We aren’t taking any time off so join us on Saturday September 13th at 4 PM for our second tournament of the season. For only $65, you will have a chance to replace Jonny as king of the hill! Don’t miss it!!!
