Albany Strong!!

With the Fall 2025 Season approaching its end, players came out ready to mix it up on Saturday night. 72 players came out to take their shot at a payday with 19 of them firing a second bullet. 91 total entries resulted in paying out the top 11 finishers. Action was non-stop as players bowed out at an incredible pace, getting us to two tables in record time. Did action slow down there? Absolutely not. In what would prove to be a pivotal hand, we saw two players all in preflop with two deeper stacks setting up a third side pot. On a flop of JT3, Mark Gr. moved all-in and was snap called by Chris Hor. The four players revealed their hands. Our short stack big blind, Tim Sco. showed J3 for two pair. Mark Gr. revealed KQs for an open ended straight draw and back door flush draw. Chip leader Chris Hor. tabled pocket aces and Laura Dir., eyeing a triple up, flipped over pocket tens for middle set. A jack on the turn improved our short stack but an ace on the river gave our chip leader the top full house and a commanding chip lead while sending three competitors to the rail.

With 11 players left at two tables, John Matz.’s (Scranton, PA) short stack couldn’t find a double. This was John’s third cash in his fifth event of the season, putting him in 11th place on the Season Points Leaderboard. 607poker.com regular Kevin Dum. (West Windsor, NY) broke a season long cold streak with his 10th place finish. Both of these players took home $115 for their finishes.

In his debut showing of the Fall 2025 Season, Adam Po. (Binghamton, NY) made a solid return, finishing in 9th place for $140. Carrie Hea. (Jessup, PA) recorded her third cash of this season, picking up $170 and moving into 7th place on the Season Points Leaderboard. Defending Season Points Leaderboard Champion Cody Dec. (Windsor, NY) made his debut performance of the Fall 2025 Season, picking up right where he left off with a final table appearance and 7th place finish that earned him $200.

Justin Pis. (Greene, NY) found a cash in only his second event of the Fall 2025 Season when his pocket sevens couldn’t improve against pocket tens. Justin took home $250 for his 6th place finish. Colin Woo. (Binghamton, NY) made this his second straight cash in only his second event, pocketing $300 for his 5th place finish. Tyler Com. (Watson Twp, PA) posted his first cash of the season with a hard fought 4th place finish. Tyler earned $410 for his 4th place finish.

Steve Joh. (Windsor, NY) established himself as a player to be reckoned with, taking down 3rd place in his first event with 607poker.com. Steve walked away with a $595 payday for his efforts. This left us with James Luc. (Scranton, PA) facing big stack Chris Hor. (Albany, NY) battling for the glory of having their picture at the top of this article. James fought the good fight but saw his stack start to dwindle, finishing in 2nd place and ended up with $1055. This left Chris as our Event #7 Champion and $1200 of spending money. The victory was Chris’ third cash of the Fall 2025 Season, vaulting him into 3rd place on the Season Points Leaderboard, well within striking distance of our leaders.

With one tournament left in the regular season, 56 players have qualified for the Season Championship Event with 16 more eligible to qualify in Event #8. With over $4500 being added to the Season Championship Event prize pool, all potential qualifiers should make it a point not to miss our next event.

The Season Points Leaderboard is getting bunched up near the top. At least 6 players are within striking distance of our points leader and, with the top 11 being projected to earn a portion of the $4500+ payout, there are 40 players with the potential to move into the money with a win in Event #7.

Are you a player that hasn’t played this season? Not in contention on the Season Points Leaderboard? Can’t qualify for the Season Championship Event? You can still stop down, play spoiler to the degens that have been grinding this season and walk away with a pocket full of cash in Event #8. Make the trip down to play with us, you won’t regret it!
