Putting The Bootz To Them
If it is a Monday night and you are about to get snowed in to your home the next day, what is the one thing you need to accomplish before the bad weather hits??? Correct, play some poker. That is what 43 people did for our $45 Monday Mayhem Tournament. Play started right at 6 and by the time we hit the first break, we had 21 people rebuy. With 64 total entries and 29 add-ons, we ended up with a prize pool of $3,140 that would be paid out to our top 8 finishers.
Jonny Mar. (Binghamton, NY) was the Monday Mayhem bubble boy, making a final table appearance but just missing some holiday cash. John Sut. (Ithaca, NY) finished in 8th place, picking up $95 and posting his second cash in the last two weeks. Colin Mor. (Cortland, NY) was the 7th place finisher, taking home $125. After a stretch away from our tournament tables, Gus Va. (Binghamton, NY) made a triumphant return, finishing in 6th place and pocketing $160. Roberto Va. (Scranton, PA) ran up an enormous stack early and coasted to the final table. His fortunes turned there but he posted an admirable debut finish in 5th place, collecting $220 for his efforts.
Anton Kal. (Westchester, NY) continued his hot streak with another final table finish, locking up $330 for his 4th place finish. Sharon Van. (Johnson City, NY) was our 3rd place finisher, recording her second cash in the last two weeks. Sharon’s deep run earned her $490. Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) went in to heads up play as the short stack and mixed it up on the first hand, only to come up a little short. Rob snagged $720 for his runner-up finish. This left Bootz Inm. (Binghamton, NY) as the last person standing, picking up a $1,000 payday for her perseverance. This marks Bootz’ second cash in less than a week and she becomes our first female winner in over a year. It was only a matter of time before one of these ladies pulled through since they have been all over our final tables the past several months.
All of these players will be putting some portion of their winnings to work again this Saturday when we are hosting two tournaments, one at noon and one at 5 PM. Stop down and earn your share of one or both of these prize pools!
