Oh What a Night!

I think people like this Tuesday Night Poker Tournament. This week saw 77 people show up to play, easily shattering our previous Tuesday night record of 71 players. We also set a record for the number of rebuys with 82. Once you mixed in the add-ons, we ended up with a prize pool of $3,260 to be shared by our top 16 finishers.

With 18 players left at our final three tables, we saw an elimination on two different tables on the last hand before our second break. This meant we could skip hand for hand play and would go without a true bubble finisher this week. During the break we consolidated to one table and when we returned, action continued at a furious pace. Kyle Wal. (Elmira, NY) recorded his second cash at 607poker.com with a 16th place finish for $70. Dalton Sny. (Vestal, NY) logged his first cash with us, grabbing 15th place for $70. Zawadi Yeb. (Johnson City, NY) also notched her first cash at 607poker.com, collecting $70 for her 14th place finish. Jade Wan. (Deposit, NY) continued his February run-good with a 13th place finish for $70.

With the remaining 12 players getting a pay jump, action refused to slow down. Bootz (Binghamton, NY) exited in 12th place with an $85 payday, followed by Jerry Joh. (Dumwroth, PA) in 11th place for $85. Congrats to Jerry for cashing in his first event at 607poker.com! Tuesday Night regular Arnie Ben. (Brackney, PA) was our 10th place finisher, picking up $85 for his second cash in February.

With 9 players remaining, there was a redraw for the final table. Tim Fly. (Castle Creek, NY) was our first exit from the final table. Tim picked up $100 for his 9th place finish in only his second tournament at 607poker.com. Rich Inm. (Binghamton, NY) followed Tim to the rail, collecting $115 for his 8th place finish. Colin Mor. (Cortland, NY) bounced back from a disappointing performance the previous Tuesday to log a 7th place finish for $135 this week. Cash game runner Gus Van. (Binghamton, NY) made an impressive push toward back-to-back Tuesday Night victories but came up a little short with a 6th place finish for $155.

Reid Edm. (Clarence, NY) notched his first cash at a 607poker.com event with a 5th place finish for $200. AJ Jul. (Port Crane, NY) continued running hot in February, picking up $280 for his 4th place finish. Dolly Ril. (Binghamton, NY) posted her third cash in the last three weeks, claiming $395 for her 3rd place finish.

The heads up battle began with Kevin Dum. (West Windsor, NY) at a serious chip disadvantage against Jonny Mar. (Binghamton, NY). After a prolonged absence from Tuesday night games, Jonny showed up this week with his A game, running up a massive stack. Jonny continued to add to his chip stack until he ran into Kevin’s AK, getting Kevin a full double up. This turned the tide of the head’s up battle as Kevin picked up AK in three additional crucial spots to take over the chip lead and pull out the victory. Jonny picked up $575 for his 2nd place finish and Kevin claimed $770 for the outright victory.
