Two Time Champ
We fired up another tournament on Tuesday night with 64 players coming out and firing 66 rebuys (exact same numbers as last week’s tournament). After all of the add-ons, we had a prize pool of $2,940 that would be paid out to our top 13 finishers.
With 14 players remaining, we went to hand for hand play. After one hand, we had a new bubble boy. Jack Gom. (Scranton, PA) tried to duplicate his success from a weak ago but came up a little short, bowing out just before the money. We lost a mystery player in 13th place. This player did not claim the $60 they won for their 13th place finish so the next tournament they show up to will be like a freeroll.
Ben Var. (Binghamton, NY) showed out in his debut at 607poker.com, finishing in 12th place and taking home $60. Corey Sta. (Ithaca, NY) was our next casualty, earning $75 for his 11th place finish. This makes back-to-back cashes for Corey in our new facility. With two tables remaining and ten players fighting for a spot at the final table, we had simultaneous eliminations at the two tables. Joanne Cro. (Binghamton, NY) and Jerry Joh. (Scranton, PA) split 9th and 10th spots, collecting $97 each. This was Joanne’s first Tuesday night appearance (nice work!!) and Jerry’s 4th Tuesday Night cash of the year.
The remaining 8 players had a redraw for final table seating and play resumed. Joe Pam. (Brooklyn, NY) was our 8th place finisher in only his second Tuesday Night appearance. Joe earned $120 for his efforts. Ed Leo. (Binghamton, NY) followed Joe to the payout desk with a 7th place finish that earned him $135. This was Ed’s 3rd Tuesday Night cash of the year.
Jonny Mar. (Binghamton, NY) built a big stack early and cruised to a 6th place finish, pocketing $150. This is Jonny’s 7th Tuesday Night cash of the year and second cash in two events at our new location. Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY) had a roller coaster final table run that culminated in a 5th place finish worth $190. This marks Nick’s 5th Tuesday Night cash of the year and his second straight at 2 Rivers Social Club. The new spot seems to agree with a bunch of these players! Jack Sym. (Windsor, NY) survived to a 4th place finish despite being card dead for the majority of the final table. Jack’s finish got him a $250 for his 6th Tuesday Night cash of the year.
Perennial threat Lucas Har. (Owego, NY) had a rocky start to the night but made the most of his final bullet, building a big chip stack and spending most of the final table as the chip leader. His good fortune came to an end with a 3rd place finish that earned him $370. This was Lucas’ 8th Tuesday Night cash of the year. With two players remaining, Paul Sky. (Onondaga, NY) had an uphill battle, entering heads up play with a massive chip deficit. Paul put up a good fight but couldn’t build any momentum, finishing in 2nd place and collecting $560 in his first Tuesday Night event. This left Flip Nic. (Windsor, NY) with all of the chips and the lion’s share of the prize pool. Flip took home $775 for his outright victory. This is the second outright win for Flip at 607poker.com in only the second event he has ever played here. Two for two is not too shabby…..let’s see if he can keep the run good going!!
