Second Chance Champ!!

One tournament wasn’t enough on Saturday so we fired up a $55 buy-in tournament that included a $10 bounty on each player. 35 runners showed up and fired an additional 15 bounties. This left us with a prize pool just north of $2,000 to be distributed to our top 7 finishers.

With 8 players remaining, each of these players were working to outlast each other and make the money. Adam Dwy. had the misfortune of not being able to hang on, exiting as the bubble boy with one bounty as a consolation prize. Laura Dir. (Johnson City, NY) improved on Tuesday’s bubble finish with a 7th place finish that earned her $85. Ed Leo. (Binghamton, NY) followed Laura to the payout desk, collecting $110 for his 6th place finish to go along with 2 bounties.

Scott Bes. (Elmira, NY) worked his way to a 5th place finish, picking up $150 along with 4 bounties. In a wild hand that included set over set, Jim All. (Windsor, NY) and Anton Kal. (Westchester, NY) were both eliminated. Jim’s 4th place finish earned him a $200 payday to go along with the 2 bounties collected. Anton’s larger chip stack at the beginning of this hand delivered a 3rd place finish worth $310. Anton also collected 2 bounties.

Heads up play began with Matt Kel. (Little Meadows, PA) enjoying a 20-1 chip lead over Bootz Inm. (Binghamton, NY). Bootz was undeterred by the big hill she had to climb, posting consecutive double ups. Unfortunately her run good ended there. Bootz collected $500 for her 2nd place finish along with 5 bounties. This left Matt with all of the chips and 11 bounties. Matt’s outright victory earned him $700. This was Matt’s second outright win at 607poker.com. Congrats Keller!!!
