So Many Knockouts

On Saturday we fired up a $100 buy-in Progressive Bounty No Limit Texas Hold Em tournament. 49 runners showed up ready to gamble, firing 18 rebuys and giving us a prize pool of $3,840 to be split up by our 9 final table members. Players started with a $40 bounty on them but as they knocked people out, money went in their pocket and their bounties grew.

With two tables of 5 players each remaining, we started hand for hand play and endured our longest money bubble to date. Dave O’Ne. (Port Crane, NY) just missed his second straight cash this week, busting in 10th place. Dave collected $50 in bounties during the day to remove a little of the sting of a bubble finish. The remaining players had a seat redraw for the final table and play resumed with Jeremy Sag. (Binghamton, NY) exiting in 9th place. Jeremy earned $150 for his 9th place finish to go along with $35 in bounties collected. Joe Sch. (Waverly, NY) had a rollercoaster ride with his chip stack on the way to the final table, bowing out in 8th place. Joe picked up $200 for the 8th place finish to go along with $135 in bounties collected throughout the day.

Sharon Van. (Binghamton, NY) came to the final table as the short stack but an immediate double up allowed her to maneuver to a 7th place finish worth $250. Sharon also collected one $20 bounty along the way. Joe Nat. (Maine, NY) had a triumphant return to the felt after a week away, logging a 6th place finish for $300 to go along with $70 in bounties. Tom Par. (Ithaca, NY) brought a short stack to the final table, working it to a 5th place finish that earned him $350. Tom collected $35 worth of bounties throughout the day as well.

Tom Pet. (Greene, NY) bounced back after a rough start and cruised into the final table, making his way to a 4th place finish. Tom collected $450 for his final table finish to go along with $45 of bounties collected. Kenny Sin. (Elmira, NY) built a big stack early, knocking out players consistently throughout the day. Kenny ran his two pair into the chip leader’s top two pair, finishing in 3rd place. Kenny earned a $575 payout for his finish to go along with $315 in bounties.

Heads up play started as a story of the haves vs. the have nots. Lucas Har. (Owego, NY) enjoyed a 9-1 chip lead over Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY) to start heads up play. Jimmy found a double up and another before getting a four barrel bluff picked off on the river to leave him in rough shape again. Lucas kept the pressure on the tournament was over a hand or two later. Jimmy picked up $760 for his 2nd place finish to go along with one whopping bounty of $20. Lucas pocketed $800 for his outright victory along with $645 in bounties for an impressive payday. This was Lucas’ 3rd outright victory at 607poker.com. Excellent work Lucas!!!
