Slick Nick

Saturday was the opening event of our Fall 2026 League. We saw 59 people come out and take a shot at grabbing an early lead in the league. 16 rebuys later, registration closed and we had $4,125 to be paid to our top 10 finishers.

With two tables and 11 players left, hand for hand play started. The remaining 11 players decided to adjust the prize pool and pay the bubble. Good thing for Brian Lin. (Binghamton, NY) they did because he was able to recoup his $70 investment when exiting as the bubble boy. Wayne Win. (Johnson City, NY) was our last elimination before the final table, collecting $125 for his 10th place finish.

The remaining players had a redraw for final table seating and play resumed. Scott Str. (Port Crane, NY) had built a big stack early and cruised into the final table but the tide turned against him, sending him home in 9th place with a $125 payday. Jane Mil. (Deposit, NY) worked her way to an 8th place finish, earning some league bonus points to go with a $145 payout. Kevin Dum. (Windsor, NY) continued his recent hot streak, finishing in 7th place and collecting $185.

Scott Tho. (Conklin, NY) made an impressive return to 607poker.com, starting the league season out right with a 6th place finish worth $225. Dolly Ril. (Binghamton, NY) cruised to a 5th place finish that earned her $290. Ryan May. (Rome, PA) found his first cash at 607poker.com with a 4th place finish worth $375.

Tim Ril. (Afton, NY) continued his hot streak with his second cash of the week. Tim’s 3rd place finish delivered him $575. Heads up play began with defending league champion Jeff Smi. (Marathon, NY) bringing a severe chip deficit against Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY). Nick came into the final table as a big stack and never looked back on his way to heads up play. Jeff was able to pick up some chips early in the battle but couldn’t put together enough momentum to overcome Nick’s chip lead, bowing out in 2nd place. Jeff collected $860 in an impressive start to his title defense. This left Nick with his first outright victory at 607poker.com, picking up $1,150 and 500 bonus points as he established himself as the man to beat in the Fall 2026 League.
