Even More Survivors
We started running these Second Chance Survivor Tournaments three weeks ago. The first week we had enough entries to pay 2 Survivors. The second week we had enough entries to pay 3 Survivors. This week we had exactly 40 entries, enough to pay 4 Survivors. The only bad part is everyone else, including 5th place, got nothing.
The 28 players that came out, fired 12 rebuys and after the break eliminations came at a rapid pace. After a redraw for final table seating, eliminations didn’t slow but when we got down to 6 players remaining, everyone brought their A game and 6 handed play continued for an extended time. Eventually we lost a player, leaving us on the bubble. The remaining players continued to battle but Ben Cab. (Binghamton, NY) came up short when his QJs could not improve against his opponent’s AT.
This left Jeff Smi. (Marathon, NY), fresh off of a bubble finish in the earlier tournament, collecting $500 for a profitable day. Jason Hol. (Binghamton, NY) made a memorable debut in our new building, picking up $500. Bart Hur. (Conklin, NY) made a return to the winner’s circle with a $500 payout and Jay Hea. (Binghamton, NY) came back from his summer vacation to post a top 4 finish that earned him $500.
Starting this Saturday, October 3rd, our 5:30 event will pay out $500 seats to our Main Event Tournament on November 1st. The Main Event has a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool so this could be your first step on a journey to turn $55 into $5,000!!!!
