A New Champion Emerges!!

Something must have been in the air Tuesday night when we crushed our previous Tuesday night record of 47 players with 60 players showing up to fire some $20 bullets for a chance to grab a pile of cash. Like our other Tuesdays, action was non-stop from the start, resulting in 61 rebuys. Mix in a bunch of add-ons at the break and we ended up with a prize pool of $2,760 to be shared by our top 11 finishers.

With a 6 max format for this tournament, we went to hand for hand play with 13 players at 3 tables. First timer Tyler Sti. (Utica, NY) was our bubble boy, hitting the rail in 13th place. Zach Sta. (Athens, PA) enjoyed a rollercoaster of a night, building and losing several large stacks on his way to a 12th place finish and a $55 payout. Jade Wan. (Deposit, NY) made a successful return after a several month absence. Jade got it all in pre-flop with AK against A8 but couldn’t fade an 8 on the river, resulting in a $70 payday for his 12th place finish. Mike Mar. (Watkins Glen, NY) improved on his Saturday night performance, grabbing $85 for his 10th place finish.

Newcomer Ernest Rom. (Endicott, NY) had an impressive debut run, finishing in 9th place for a $100 payout. On the final table bubble, Tasha Roy. (Binghamton, NY) got all her chips in the middle holding pocket aces but couldn’t fade QJs running out a straight. Tasha’s 8th place exit earned her $115.

After a redraw for the final table, Cris Sal. (Queens, NY) was the first player heading to the rail. Cris’ 7th place finish in only his 3rd tournament at 607poker.com resulted in a $130 payout. Adrian Cho. (Long Island, NY) came into the final table as the short stack and found an early double up, only to get crippled when his AK could not improve. Adrian pocketed $150 for his 6th place finish. Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY) recorded his third consecutive final table cash, exiting in 5th place and collecting $180.

Colin Mor. (Cortland, NY) was the next player heading to the rail, picking up $235 for his 4th place finish. Despite entering the final table with a shorter stack, Jay Hea. (Binghamton, NY) was able to spin it up long enough to grab a 3rd place finish and $360. After a brief discussion of a heads up chop, the two remaining players elected to play it out. Play didn’t last long when AJ Ro. (Port Crane, NY) got it all in preflop with an ace but was outkicked by his opponent’s AK and couldn’t improve. AJ collected $540 for his second place finish leaving Tyler Oui. (Bainbridge, NY) with all of the chips, a 1st place finish and $740 in his pocket. Tyler built a big stack early and was able to coast to the final table in his first tournament at 607poker.com. Congrats to our new Champ!!
