A New Contender Emerges

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood but that didn’t stop a bunch of my degen friends from stopping in to play some poker. 79 people showed up and showed out, plunking down $65 each and letting the chips fly. 21 of those players were adventurous enough to throw down an additional $65, taking a rebuy to keep their poker dreams alive. 100 total entries meant 12 players would leave happy and the rest would have to wait until next week to achieve some poker success!

First time 607poker.com player Colin Mor. made a good run but fell just short of the money, exiting in 13th place and claiming the bubble boy title. After a series of cashes over the summer, Steve Ril (Binghamton, NY) broke a cold streak during this season by putting up his first cash of the season, picking up $100 for his 12th place finish. Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) posted his second cash of the Fall 2025 season, picking up $125 for his 11th place finish and moving into the top 15 on the Season Points Leaderboard. Familiar face Scott Tho. (Conklin, NY) put up his first cash of the season, taking home $125 for his 10th place finish.

Bob Si. (Binghamton, NY) is becoming a final table fixture, posting his second straight final table in league events and third in a row overall. 9th place got Bob $180 and moves him into the top 20 on the Season Points Leaderboard. After a long absence from 607poker.com events, Mike Moy. (Candor, NY) made a triumphant return, working his way to an 8th place finish and $180. Mike Mar. (Watkins Glen, NY) posted his second cash in his third event of the Fall 2025 Season. Mike brought a big stack to the final table but his AK couldn’t hold up against T8 after getting it all in on a K86 flop, only to see another 8 hit on the turn. Mike grabbed $230 for his 7th place finish and jumped into the top 20 on the Season Points Leaderboard.

Another final table mainstay, John Matz. (Scranton, PA) put up his second straight league cash, taking home $285 for a 6th place finish and moving into 11th place on the Season Points Leaderboard. 607poker.com regular Tim Ril. (Afton, NY) took 5th place and $335 for his first cash of the Fall 2025 Season. Carrie Hea. (Jessup, PA) vaulted into the top 5 on the Season Points Leaderboard thanks to her second cash in her first four events. Carrie picked up $445 for her 4th place finish, positioning herself well heading into the second half of the season.

Dennis Da. (Albany, NY) had a rollercoaster of a night that ended when he ran into pocket kings and couldn’t improve. This makes Dennis’ 4th final table in 4 tournaments at 607poker.com. His third place finish netted him $640 and put him in third place on the Season Points Leaderboard.

This left us with a heads up match featuring Jason Sho. (Binghamton, NY) and Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY). The players decided to play it out with Jason entering heads up play with a slight chip lead. Jason kept the pressure on, picking up a series of pots early but his KdJd got all in preflop against KcQc and couldn’t improve, leaving him short stacked. A few hands later he bowed out in 2nd place, picking up $980 for his deep run and moving into the top 15 on the Season Points Leaderboard. Not a bad place to be after only playing in 2 events.

This left Jimmy Far. with all of the chips and moved him into the top 10 on the Season Points Leaderboard. Jimmy took home $1,355 for the victory with his eyes firmly set on catching the players at the top of the Leaderboard. At the halfway mark of the season, everybody still has a chance to topple Mikey Kr. Get out here and take your shot!!!!
