Big Bounties, Big Winners
The first tournament in our Big, Bigger, Biggest Bounty Series took place Saturday night, drawing out biggest crowd to date. 72 players came out and none of them were afraid to mix it up with 31 rebuys taking place during the first six levels. With 103 entries, we were paying out the top 12 finishers with players picking up $10 for each player they eliminated.
Once we got to the money, Christian Pe. (Philadelphia, PA) was our first casualty, picking up $100 for the 12th place finish along with one bounty. A guy that seems to be in these write-ups more often than not, Justin Ho. (Bainbridge, NY) went out next, also cashing for $100 but picking up five bounties along the way. Dave Sw. was the next departure, locking up $100 for 10th place to go with his five bounties.
Last week’s bubble boy, Rob Cli. (Conklin, NY) improved on that finish to take 9th place and $125 plus three bounties. In the hand of the night, we lost three players. Steve Ril. (Binghamton, NY) went into that hand as the short stack and came out in 8th place, picking up $125 for the finish and $30 in bounties. Paul Sk. (Onondaga Nation) was the second shortest stack eliminated, pocketing $160 for his 7th place finish to go along with four bounties. Pat Re. (Windsor, NY) was the third casualty this hand, taking 6th place, $215 and four bounties.
In 5th place, Dave Sol. picked up $270 to go with one bounty, followed in 4th place by Dan Ra. (Windsor, NY) who took home $335 and nine bounties.
Our final three players agreed to chop the remaining prize pool. Scott Th. (Conkln, NY), Dylan Bo, & Chad P. (McGraw, NY) (not pictured) took home $665 each plus five bounties for Scott, eight bounties for Dylan and an event high ten bounties for Chad.
$515 was withheld for the Top Bounty Collector Leaderboard. With the top 5 places being paid and two events left to go, anyone can still win this!
