Friday Night Fights!!

After a long break, we brought back our bounty tournament on Friday night. Players plunked down $100 and took their swings at knocking out their opponents in search of $25 bounties on every player. 53 people came out and 19 took a rebuy to give us 72 total entries. The prize pool of $5,110 would be paid out to our top 9 finishers.

Scott Str. (Port Crane, NY) was looking to break his recent cold streak but finished in 10th place, missing the final table and claiming the bubble boy title on Friday night. Scott collected seven bounties as a consolation prize, making it a profitable night. After a seating redraw for the final table, play resumed with no shortage of action. Joy Ver. (Ithaca, NY) claimed 9th place for $130 while collecting two bounties for an additional $50. This was Joy’s second straight cash at 607poker.com. In a double elimination hand, Mike Bra. (Elmira, NY) took 8th place as the shorter stack. Mike picked up $180 for 8th place to go with his $50 in bounties, posting a profitable night. The second elimination on that hand was AJ Rot. (Port Crane, NY). AJ started the hand with more chips than Mike, leaving him as the 7th place finisher with a $230 payday and $125 in bounties.

Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY) built a massive stack in the early part of the final table and held on for a 6th place finish. Nick collected a $285 payout to go with $150 in bounties. Matt Mai. (Vestal, NY) worked a shorter stack throughout the final table to claim 5th place. Matt took home $360 for the 5th place finish along with $50 in bounties. Matt Kel. (Little Meadows, PA) was our biggest bounty collector of the night. On his way to a 4th place finish for $490, Matt collected 10 bounties for an additional $250.

The remaining three players resumed play after a short break. Chip stacks were comparable and the players settled in for a battle. Three handed play lasted for more than two levels of play before Justin Pis. (Greene, NY) bowed out in 3rd place. An impressive performance after a prolonged absence earned Justin $745 to go with $175 in bounties. Alex Kar. ( Westchester, NY) posted his first tournament cash at 607poker.com with a 2nd place finish, claiming a $1,125 payout to go along with $125 in bounties. This left tournament regular Mark Gra. (Vestal, NY) with all of the chips and his first outright win at 607poker.com. His first place finish earned him $1,565 and $125 in bounties. This was Mark’s second straight Friday night final table.
