Sunday Stunner

We cranked up the buy-in to $200 on Sunday and splashed pots with 5,000 tournament chips whenever the Bills, Jets, Giants, Seahawks or Chiefs scored a touchdown. 17 people came out to play and 6 rebuys were purchased along the way, resulting in the top 5 players making the money.

The final table came quickly and players were sent to the rail until we got to the final 6. Joe Nat. (Maine, NY) had been running hot over the last two weeks but fell just short in this event, claiming the bubble boy designation. Once the bubble burst, Matt Kel. (Little Meadows, PA) was the first player to exit, finishing in 5th place and picking up $315. John Pol. (Binghamton, NY) multi-tabled his way to a 4th place finish worth $495.

Ben Med. (Binghamton, NY) came into the final table as the chip leader and eliminated players early but lost momentum and exited in 3rd place. Ben collected $805 for his 3rd place finish. This left perennial final tablist Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) entered heads up play with a significant chip deficit and some work to do. Rob found an early double up but couldn’t keep that momentum going, bowing out in 2nd place and taking home $1,210. This left Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY) with his first outright win at the new facility. Jimmy pocketed $1,610 for his 1st place finish.
