Surviving the Holidays!!

On Saturday December 27th, the second half of our double header of poker tournaments was a $55 buy-in Survivor Tournament. We had a total of 41 entries for this event, resulting in a payout to four surviving players and a $50 prize for our 5th place finisher.

The final table came quickly and action was non-stop as players continued to be eliminated. Cody Dec. (Windsor, NY) navigated his way to a 5th place finish, picking up $50 and posting his second cash of the day.

The final four was a group of regulars at 607poker.com. Tasha Roy. (Binghamton, NY) posted her second cash in two weeks. Tasha was the short stack when they got to four players left, maximizing her return in this Survivor format. Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY) came into the final table as the chip leader and despite handing out a double up or two to other players, preserved himself a stack that got him into the surviving four. Matt Kel. (Vestal, NY) posted his second cash of the day, winning a key hand against fellow double casher Cody and then cruising to the final four. Sharon Van. (Binghamton, NY) was our fourth survivor. After coming into the final table as one of the shorter stacks, Sharon doubled up early and then put on a clinic, ending with the chip lead. Our four survivors took home $500 each for their efforts.
