Three of a Kind

We added a bonus event on Saturday night as a make up for a snow storm impaired event earlier in the season. 57 people came out for the event and everyone was ready to mix it up, resulting in 25 rebuys for 82 total entries. Eliminations started quickly and didn’t slow down as we got down to our final 10 players grabbing their share of the $3,280 prize pool.

First timer Tim Cl. (Chenango Forks, NY) was the first casualty, exiting in 10th place and taking home $100. Eric Th. (Binghamton, NY) posted his first cash in his second event with us, taking home $115 for 9th place. Chad P. (Binghamton, NY) continued his hot streak, notching his third cash in only four events and picking up $130 for an 8th place finish.

Steve Ri. (Binghamton, NY) posted his second cash of the season in his fourth event, displaying consistency with another 7th place finish. Steve pocketed $165 for his finish. Newcomer Will Ea. (Sidney, NY) made a nice run in his first appearance, taking home $200 for his 6th place finish. Barry He. (Thompson, PA) put up a 5th place finish and secured a $245 payday for his first cash in only his second event. Newcomer Gail Cov. (Chenango Bridge, NY) put together an impressive 4th place finish for $320 in her first event.

This left us with a final three players of Dan Ka. (Hillcrest, NY), Dave I. (Binghamton, NY) and Joseph Sch. to compete for the championship. Unfortunately, they decided they had already spent enough time with each other and took an even chop of $668 each for a solid payday. This was Joseph’s first cash of the season and Dave’s second cash of the season. This was Dan’s fifth cash in only six events this season, firmly establishing him as the man to beat in next week’s Winter 2025 Championship Event.

There are 54 qualifiers for the Championship Event with $4,455 being added to the prize pool. If you are one of the 54 qualifiers, you don’t want to miss this one!
