Too Hot to Handle
Another Tuesday Night Tournament has come and gone with 63 people coming out and taking a shot at some poker glory. 70 rebuys later, we were left with a prize pool of $3,180 to be distributed to our top 14 finishers.
With 15 players remaining, hand for hand play started. In what was easily our longest money bubble to date, we finally got down to 14 players when Tasha Roy. (Binghamton, NY) couldn’t keep her short stack going any longer. Once the money bubble burst, players were eliminated at a breakneck speed. Laura Dir. (Johnson City, NY) exited in 14th place, taking home $65. This was Laura’s third Tuesday Night cash of the year. Aaron Beh. (Binghamton, NY) was the next player heading to the payout desk. Aaron’s 13th place finish earned him $65 in his second Tuesday Night cash of the year.
Pat Rei. (Deposit, NY) logged his sixth Tuesday Night cash of the year with a 12th place finish worth $80. Mark Gra. (Vestal, NY) continued his recent hot streak with an 11th place finish worth $80. Sean Zaj. (Manlius, NY) just missed the final table with a 10th place cash worth $80. This was Sean’s second Tuesday Night cash in the last month.
The remaining 9 players had a seat redraw before final table action began. Gary Jef. (Oswego, NY) was the beneficiary of the pay jump, collecting $95 for his 9th place finish and first Tuesday Night cash. Josh Fre. (Binghamton, NY) logged back to back 8th place finishes in Tuesday Night events. This finish earned him $110. Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY) finished in 7th place, pocketing $130. This was Nick’s third Tuesday Night cash of the year.
Josaiah Fra. (Binghamton, NY) was the 6th place finisher, earning $160. This was Josaiah’s fourth Tuesday Night cash of the year. Matt She. (Unadilla, NY) made an impressive Tuesday Night debut with a 5th place finish worth $205. Colin Mor. (Syracuse, NY), fresh off of a two way chop last Tuesday, worked his way to a 4th place finish, collecting $270. This is Colin’s sixth Tuesday Night cash of the year.
With three players remaining, discussion of a chop was quickly dismissed as the three former champions prepared for battle. Pudge (Binghamton, NY) bowed out in 3rd place, taking home $400. This was Pudge’s fourth Tuesday Night cash of the year. Jonny Mar. (Binghamton, NY) started heads up play with a significant chip deficit but unlike his NY Knicks the following night, could not mount the massive comeback, exiting in 2nd place. This is Jonny’s fifth Tuesday Night cash of the year. This left Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) with all of the chips (and all of the Miller Lites). For the outright victory, Rob collected $850. This was Rob’s fifth Tuesday Night cash of the year but his first outright win since January 2025. Welcome back to the winner’s circle Rob!!!
