The Comeback Kid

It was a Tuesday Night so cards were flying. 67 players made their way down to take a shot at lining their pockets with each other’s money. 75 rebuys and a bunch of add-ons later and we had a prize pool of $3,520 to be paid to our top 15 finishers.

When we got down to two tables, hand for hand play began with one player poised to head home without any extra cash. Zawadi Yeb. (Johnson City, NY) flopped a set of fours but found her up against a set of sevens and the miracle four couldn’t find the board to send her home as our bubble girl. Action continued at a furious pace with Mike Mor. (Cortland, NY) the first player to head to the payout desk. Mike picked up $70 for his 15th place finish in his first Tuesday Night appearance. Matt Mai. (Endwell, NY) took some time off the links to log a 14th place finish worth $70 in his third Tuesday Night cash of the year. Rob Cac. (Endwell, NY) posted a 13th place finish worth $70 in his first Tuesday Night cash of the year.

After realizing a pay jump, Lucas Har. (Owego, NY) was crippled when his AQs couldn’t improve against his opponent’s pocket nines. Lucas pocketed $90 for his 12th place finish. This was his seventh Tuesday Night cash of the year and an immediate cash after a two month break. Mike Bri. (Ithaca, NY) followed Lucas to the payout desk, exiting in 11th place and collecting $90. This was Mike’s third Tuesday Night cash of the year. Jack Sym. (Windsor, NY) just missed the final table, finishing in 10th place and taking home $90 for his efforts. This was Jack’s fifth Tuesday Night cash of the year.

After a redraw for final table seating, action continued with no shortage of large pots. Roberto Vaz. (Scranton, PA) got all of his chips in the pot in a three way pot with a monster draw. He couldn’t find a straight or flush card and bowed out in 9th place, collecting $110 in his fifth Tuesday Night cash. Mark Gra. (Vestal, NY) posted back-to-back Tuesday Night cashes with an 8th place finish worth $130. Jerry Joh. (Scranton, NY) worked a short stack to a 7th place finish, earning her $150 for her third Tuesday Night cash of the year.

Buddie Har. (Binghamton, NY) made an appearance after an 18 month hiatus in spectacular fashion. Buddie ran up a monster stack and came into the final table as the chip leader before exiting in 6th place. Buddie earned $175 for his 6th place finish. Colin Mor. (Cortland, NY) put up his third consecutive Tuesday Night cash and seventh of the year with a 5th place finish worth $225. With four players remaining, it was a case of the haves vs. the have nots with two monster stacks and two short stacks. Jimmy Far. (Binghamton, NY) couldn’t spin up his short stack, exiting in 4th place for a $300 payout. This was Jimmy’s tenth Tuesday Night cash of the year.

With three players remaining, Josaiah Fra. (Johnson City, NY) got all of his chips in good with 99 against his opponent’s KJ on an 8 high board. The river was brutal to Josaiah, producing a K and leaving him with a short stack that resulted in a 3rd place finish worth $420. This was Josaiah’s second straight Tuesday Night cash and fifth of the year. The heads up battle began with Bob Sil. (Binghamton, NY) squaring up with Pudge (Binghamton, NY). Chips were traded for an extended period of time but momentum swung to Pudge, leaving Bob with a shorter stack. Bob got all in with T8 vs Q9 and couldn’t improve, finishing in 2nd place and taking home $630 for his first Tuesday Night cash of the year. Pudge collected $900 for his 1st place finish. This was Pudge’s second consecutive Tuesday Night cash (both top three finishes) and fifth Tuesday Night cash of the year, his second outright victory.

Congrats to all of our players that made the money!! Be sure to stop down next Tuesday and take your shot at turning $20 into $900!!!
