The End Boss
In a hastily put together Saturday Night Tournament, we had 47 players show up and show out. Sure, there were a few rebuys (38 to be precise) but there was a lot of fun had through the rebuy period. After a slew of add-ons, we had a prize pool of $3,150 to be distributed to our top 10 finishers.
Eliminations came quickly and in bunches as we were down to 11 players in record time. Hand for hand play began and lasted for the better part of a level when Dolly Ril. (Binghamton, NY) couldn’t hold on to her short stack any longer, becoming our bubble finisher. With all of the remaining players in the money, Jim All. (Windsor, NY) became the first player heading to the payout desk. Jim picked up $100 for his 10th place finish, just missing another final table.
The remaining nine players had a redraw for final table seating and play resumed. John Mar. (Scranton, PA) came into the final table as a short stack, drew the seat to be the first big blind and managed to win the first two hands of final table play. The run good ended there as John became our 9th place finisher, taking home $100. Lona Whe. (Ithaca, NY) bowed out in 8th place, collecting $115 for her finish. Lona found herself extremely short stacked with three full tables remaining but battled back for an impressive finish. Adam Dwy. (Spencer, NY) was the next player heading to the payout desk. Adam posted a 7th place finish worth $145. This was Adam’s first cash in only his second tournament at 607poker.com.
Wayne Win. (Johnson City, NY) came into the final table as one of the chip leaders but couldn’t put together any momentum and exited in 6th place. Wayne collected $180 for finish, the second final table in two weeks. Kevin Dum. (Windsor, NY) ended a recent cold streak, posting a 5th place finish worth $225.
With 4 players remaining, we had three short stacks and one monster stack. In an act of extreme benevolence, a deal was made and the remaining prize pool was chopped. Dan Kan. (Maine, NY) put up his second cash this week, taking home $540 for his share of the chop. Mike Mil. (Deposit, NY) finished just outside of the money in his last tournament but found a $540 payday with this chop. Pat Rei. (Deposit, NY) compiled a big stack early in this event, eliminated tons of players and cruised to a $540 payday. This left our chip leader with the lion’s share of the prize pool. Jerry Joh. (Scranton, PA) dominated the final table, agreeing to the chop with over 75% of the chips remaining in her stack. Jerry collected $700 for her share of the chop, notching her best cash at 607poker.com so far!
Congrats to all of the players that made some money on Saturday Night!! Enjoy a couple of weeks off and join us on July 15th for our next installment of our $20 Tuesday Tournament (on a Wednesday this time)!!!
