Back At It Again
It was Tuesday so we tossed some cards and some chips on our way to crowning a winner in our $20 Tuesday Night Tournament. 67 people came out and managed to fire 82 rebuys into the prize pool. After a bunch of add-ons, we had a prize pool of $3,480 that would be divided up amongst our top 15 finishers.
With two full tables remaining, hand for hand play began. Two hands later, it was over with former Tuesday Night Champion Anton Kal. (Westchester, NY) having the unfortunate distinction of being this event’s bubble finisher. Once the money bubble burst, eliminations came at a rapid pace. Another former Tuesday Night Champion, Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) continued his recent hot streak with a 15th place finish worth $70. Jim Allen broke a recent Tuesday Night cold streak with a 14th place finish that earned him $70. Dan Kan. (Maine, NY) posted his tenth Tuesday Night cash of the year with a 12th place finish worth $70.
Joe Nat. (Maine, NY) held on for the pay jump and took home $85 for his 12th place finish. Tim Ril. (Afton, NY) followed Joe to the payout desk collecting $85 for his 11th place finish. A Mystery Player (Parts Unknown, USA) finished in 10th place for an $85 payout (sorry to this player, bad recordkeeping by the admins). After extensive research, we discovered Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY) was the 10th place finisher. Nick pocketed $85 for his second Tuesday Night cash in the last three events.
The remaining players had a redraw for final table seating and play resumed with newcomer Tyler Rob. (Bradford, PA) becoming our first final table knockout. Tyler picked up $105 for his 9th place finish. Daric Dio. (Endicott, NY) came up a little short in his bid to become the first player to win back-to-back events at 607poker.com, posting an 8th place finish worth $125. Another newcomer, Tebby Hab. (Scranton, PA) exited in 7th place with a $145 payday.
Laz Col. (Binghamton, NY) made it two for two on final table appearances on Tuesday Nights, finishing in 6th place and taking home $175. Rob Cac. (Endwell, NY) posted his second consecutive Tuesday Night cash, heading out in 5th place and collecting $225. Pudge (Binghamton, NY) put up a valiant effort in defense of his Tuesday Night Championship last week, putting up a 4th place finish worth $300.
Dave May. (Rome, PA) made his Tuesday Night debut a memorable one, putting up a 3rd place finish that earned him $420. For those keeping track, that is 3 final table finishers from Pennsylvania, all in their first Tuesday Night appearance. Heads up play started with lopsided chip stacks. Devin Mel. (Johnson City, NY) came in with a 2:1 chip deficit and a lot of work to do. He picked up a few pots but couldn’t gain any momentum and he exited in 2nd place. This was Devin’s third Tuesday Night cash of the year (all final tables) and his best finish yet, earning him $625. This left Dani Brk. (Croatia) with all of the chips and the lion’s share of the money. For his second outright Tuesday Night victory (in the last five events), Dani collected $895. Dani becomes one of only 3 players to have two outright victories in this year’s Tuesday Night Tournaments.
Our next Tuesday Night Tournament falls on a Thursday but don’t let that stop you from joining us on July 15th for our next $20 buy-in event!!
