Mr. Tuesday Night
We decided to mix it up this Tuesday, splitting our $20 buy-in tournament between No Limit Texas Hold Em and Pot Limit Omaha. We had 61 players show up, fire 57 rebuys and take a bunch of add-ons to get us to a prize pool of $2,860 to be paid out to our top 12 finishers.
Hand for hand play began with two tables and 13 players remaining. Matt Mai. (Endwell, NY) had the misfortune of being eliminated as our bubble boy, just missing his 4th Tuesday Night cash of the year. Jason Mun. (Maine, NY) posted his first in the money finish on a Tuesday Night, taking 12th place for a $60 payout. Jason was followed to the payout desk by Franklin Sag. (Endwell, NY). Franklin was awarded $70 for his 11th place finish, his second Tuesday Night cash of the year. Laura Dir. (Johnson City, NY) was our final elimination before the final table. Laura earned $85 for her 10th place finish. This was Laura’s second straight Tuesday Night cash and her 5th of the year.
Our remaining 9 players had a redraw for the final table and play resumed. Nick Bab. (Cortland, NY) was our first final table elimination. Nick’s 9th place finish earned him a $100 payout. This was Nick’s 4th consecutive Tuesday Night cash (longest streak of any player this year) and his 7th overall Tuesday Night cash. Corey Ric. (Las Vegas, NV) made a successful tournament debut at 607poker.com, working his way to an 8th place finish worth $115. Nancy Ree. (Binghamton, NY) bowed out in 7th place, picking up $130 for her efforts. This finish marked Nancy’s 11th Tuesday Night cash of the year, the most of any player (actually, tied with the guy that finishes 5th in a couple of sentences).
Mike Mil. (Deposit, NY) was on fire early in the tournament, building a massive chip stack that allowed him to coast into the final table. The final table cards were not as kind and Mike exited in 6th place, collecting $160 for his 3rd Tuesday Night cash of the year. Dan Kan. (Maine, NY) survived a rough start to the evening, working his way to a 5th place finish worth $190. This was Dan’s 11th Tuesday Night cash of the year. Maybe you should play next week to see if you can keep Dan & Nancy away from the payout desk for a record 12th time??? Rob McL. (Binghamton, NY) logged his 7th Tuesday Night cash of the year with a 4th place finish that delivered a $245 payout. All but one of Rob’s 7 Tuesday Night cashes have been final table appearances.
Three handed play started with Jose Fer. (Brackney, PA) as our chip leader. The three handed battle lasted for several levels of play as the short stacks seemed to find a double up whenever they needed it and chips moved quickly between the three players. Jose exited in 3rd place, locking up $370 and his best Tuesday Night finish of the year. Jose’s elimination left Anton Kal. (Westchester, NY) and Pudge (Binghamton, NY) battling for first place. Anton put up a valiant fight but came up short of his second outright victory at 607poker.com. Anton collected $555 for his 2nd place finish leaving Pudge with all of the chips and a 1st place finish worth $780. This was Pudge’s 7th Tuesday Night cash of the year but more importantly, his 3rd outright victory on a Tuesday Night. Pudge has separated himself from the three other players with two Tuesday Night victories. Congrats Pudge!!!
